This Privacy Statement explains in brief what personal information Healthy Living Platform collect about you and/or your family and how we use it.

1. Personal Information that we collect and process

The following explains the types of data we collect and the legal basis -under current GDPR legislation - on which this data is processed.

  • Dates of Participation

  • Dates of Completion

  • Date of Birth

  • Address and Postcode

  • Email

  • IP Address

  • Telephone No

  • Ethnicity

  • Gender

  • Number of Children and Ages

  • Languages Spoken

  • Disability Status

  • Employment Status

  • Country of Birth

Special Information

We may collect and process your special Personal Information under, (Article 6 of the GDPR ACT), if this information is more sensitive and to further protect your fundamental rights and freedoms. For example: information about Health, Ethnicity and Religion.

We will only collect such sensitive information if there is a clear reason for collection and Data Protection Laws allow us to do so. Where we do decide to collect sensitive information, we will clearly tell you why we are collecting it. 

Criminal offence information

We will only collect and process your personal information relating to Criminal Offence Data under safeguards set out in the GDPR, Article 10, relating to criminal convictions and offences, or related security measures. We are however not allowed to keep such information unless it is requested by an Official Authority.

Children under 13 and Vulnerable People

How we deal with Children under 13 (statutory age under GDPR Law and Vulnerable People and treat their personal information) though in practice HLP treats all children and young people under the age of 18 following these guidelines. This applies to gathering data or images for any GDPR purpose.

HLP is 100% committed to the protection and safeguarding of Children aged 13 or under. We will always ask the permission of a parent/s or guardian/s before asking for personal information or images of children.

About Vulnerable People of all ages: HLP is again 100% committed to the protection and safeguarding of all our vulnerable supporters, members, clients, volunteers and staff and their personal information. In addition, HLP uses good industry practice and safeguarding guidelines in dealing with the information of Vulnerable People.
  

2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

 We will only use your data in a manner that is appropriate considering the basis on which that data was collected, as outlined above.

For example, we may use your personal information to:

  • Sign you up for a cooking, growing, sharing or exercise session/s

  • Send you our newsletter, if you have agreed to receive it

  • Research anonymously to provide you with a better service or experience

3. Sharing of your information

We will only share your information if:

  • you have given us your absolute consent for us to pass that information to a trusted third party;

  • we are using a third party to legally process information for us under a strict processing agreement with that third party;

  • we are required by law to share your data.

In addition, we will only pass data to third parties outside of the EU where appropriate safeguards are in place as defined by Article 46 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We will only ever ask you for the required amount of information that we need for a particular purpose and will only keep your information for as long as we need it. According to our safe and controlled internal processes, it will be destroyed once we no longer need it.

Every few years we will review information given to us with your Consent and ask for renewal.

 

5. RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR INFORMATION

 Your rights include:

  • You may withdraw your consent at any time, where you have consented to giving us that information. We will make it as easy as possible for you to do this (for example by putting an ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of our Newsletter

  • You have the right to ask for your information to be corrected, amended, updated or deleted on request

  • You have the right to receive a copy of your information according to the correct legal process

  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner if you feel your rights have been infringed.

If you would like to access the rights listed above, or any other legal rights you have over your data under current legislation, please get in touch with us.

Please note that relying on some of these rights, such as the right to deleting your data, will make it impossible for us to continue to deliver some services to you. However, where possible we will always try to allow the maximum access to your rights while continuing to deliver as many services to you as possible.

6. OUR WEBSITE

When you visit our website, the following information will automatically be collected:

  • Technical information, including the (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, and operating system and platform;

  • Information about your visit, including the (URL), clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time), pages you viewed or searched for page response times, download errors, length of visits to pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

7.  COOKIES

'Cookies' are tiny pieces of information sent by us to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow our website to recognise you when you visit. For example, we use cookies to store your subject preference. This helps us to deliver a more personalised service when you browse our website and improves our services.

 The Healthy Living Platform may modify its Privacy Policy from time to time. We will always maintain an up to date version on our website. If there is any change that seriously impacts your rights, we will notify you if you are affected.
