Vegan chocolate bird’s nests

Ingredients
1 handful cereal (we used rice krispies, corn flakes and shreddies)
1/2 handful raisins
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
1 drop vanilla extract
This recipe was made at our Spring celebration 2024 at Loughborough Park!
Making these chocolate birds nests was one of the many activities we had for the children at the event which turned out to be a big hit with everyone! There were many compliments about how it tasted and how easy they are to make!
Method:
Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 10 seconds, or until it becomes liquid. Add the honey/maple syrup, vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Stir together until combined. It should look like melted chocolate at this point.
Add your desired cereal and raisins and stir until it is fully coated in the chocolatey mixture.
When fully mixed, pour into a cupcake liner and chill in the fridge until it is set.
